A day on Cinnamon Bay 8/8/09
We took our friends in from NJ to Cinnamon Bay, via the people ferry (since our boat is being worked on now). it was a nice HOT day to visit the beach and we stopped at the Deli Grotto first to pick up sandwiches and drinks, loaded up the cooler we brought, and took a taxi to the beach. Most people go to Trunk Bay so it wasn't crowded at all. It was very hot so we all were in the water right away and enjoyed watching the wind surfer guys try their hands at the sport. The guy we were watching had obviosly done this before because he was good and never feel down. it seems like good exercise but I know I would just fall and get frustrated so why try. Too many things to control at once and worry about the wind too. I will just stand in the water and float.
We ate our lunches under the shade and Rich and Dennis drank little bottles of rum (that were suppose to be someone's tourist present to take back). We had them over for dinner for homemade pizza (roasted garlic and asparagus, feta cheese mix) and a makeshift salad. Dennis whipped up margaritas and we had a few to celebrate their last dinner with us before they went back. it was nice to sit and chat about life, family (they both just lost parents) and work. Seems like they had a nice time. It was their 3rd trip down here since they own at Frenchman's Cove and the are becoming locals now. They followed my local's things to do list and had a ball.
